Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley rematch on April 2014

Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley to defend his welterweight title against Manny Pacquiao. This ends months of speculation of Manny Pacquiao's next fight, and offers fans the long-awaited Pacquiao vs. Bradley rematch. When Pacquiao and Bradley rumbled the first time, on June 9, 2012 at the MGM Grand, Bradley's hand was raised via a controversial split decision, ending Pacquiao's welterweight title reign as well as his seven-year, 15-bout winning streak.

Though both fighters claimed victory neither was satisfied. Destiny may have played a hand in their first battle but it will be survival of the fittest that determines the winner of this exciting rematch. Since then, Pacquiao was brutally knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez, and Bradley scored a hard-fought decision win over Pacquiao's nemesis.

Bradley also survived a war with Ruslan Provodnikov, while Pacquiao finally returned to action with a dominant win over an overmatched Brandon Rios. Promoted by Top Rank®, in association with MP Promotions and Tecate, Pacquiao-Bradley 2 will take place, Saturday, April 12, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. It will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.

Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez is on

It's on! Floyd Mayweather has just made things official-His next opponent will be WBC and WBA junior middleweight champ, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. The contest, which will be contested at a 152 lb. catchweight, will be held on September 14 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Alvarez will bring his WBC and WBA 154 lb. belts to the affair, as well as the Ring Magazine title, while Mayweather will put up the WBA "super" junior middleweight title he won from Miguel Cotto last year.

The pay-per-view telecast from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will likely generate the kind of buy rate Showtime had envisioned when they first signed the controversial Mayweather to a six-fight, 30-month deal, rumored to be the richest in boxing history. Alvarez, who will be 23 by fight night, has proven himself a draw in the United States as well.

His April 20 unanimous decision win over WBA titlist, Austin Trout at a jam-packed Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, also won the young fighter a certain level of boxing "street cred" after being widely criticized for a relatively weak recent stretch of opposition. Mayweather should hold most of the cards against the young, relatively flat-footed Mexican champ.

With an edge in speed, reflexes, and a massive advantage in overall ring smarts, Mayweather will likely be the heavy betting favorite and could, conceivably, take a wide unanimous decision. Mayweather-Alvarez was the right fight to make and it should be a truly intriguing match-up. Who do you think will win? The Mayweather vs Alvarez Tickets become available, they can be browsed and bought right here! So, you should buy your tickets before the sale ends. You must get the tickets as soon as it is available because they sell like hot cakes.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Tickets Still Available

Tickets for Pacquiao vs Marquez 4, the fourth boxing match between Filipino Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Juan Manuel Márquez are still available on Ticket Liquidator. The fight, scheduled for December 8, 2012 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, is the fourth installment of one of the fiercest rivalries in boxing and is currently the most expensive sporting event ticket on Ticket Liquidator, among the largest secondary-ticket sites on the Internet.

Even though Pacquiao won their most recent fight in a close decision, Pacquiao contends Márquez has insisted he won the fight. In an interview with ESPN, Pacquiao said he chose to fight Márquez one more time in order to set the record straight. The non-title bout will be fought at the welterweight division.

At age 33 to Márquez’s 39, Pacquiao will be the younger man in the ring. Pacquiao holds the better head-to head record, as he is 2-0-1 in fights against the Mexican. When they last met in November of 2011 Pacquiao won in a controversial majority decision. Their first fight, on May 8 2004, had the featherweight championship on the line and ended in a draw. They met again in 2008, with Pacquiao winning in a split decision. Their lifetime record is startlingly similar; Pacquiao holds a lifetime 54-4-2 record with 38 KOs, while Márquez is 54-6-1 with 39 KOs.

Taking place at the MGM Grand’s Grand Garden Arena, Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4 promises to be one of the most exciting sporting events of the year. Fans still looking for tickets for Pacquiao vs. Márquez may browse a large selection at Ticket Liquidator.

Chavez vs Martinez who would win?

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr finally taking on Sergio Martinez on September 15, 2012 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A fascinating fight on paper, as the 26-year old Chavez, who has improved tremendously under Freddie Roach over the past few years, will look to chop down the ultra-athletic and cagey Martinez, who is still in fine form at 37 years of age.

Chavez Jr. has compiled an impressive 46-0 record over the course of a relatively short amount of time. Those that are familiar with the accomplishments of his father cannot help but notice the similarities in fighting style and success.

The 37-year-old Martinez has been waiting for a fight of this magnitude for quite some time, and his camp is expecting the absolute best out of him. The left-handed slugger also has a very impressive record, having gone 49-2-2 on the professional level over the course of the past 15 years.

Sergio Martinez Unanimous Decision. Sergio is much faster and fights from the outside. The only chance Chavez has is to frustrate Sergio and try to bring him into a brawl. Chavez can't do much unless he's on the inside. If Sergio stays at a distance and just boxes, he wins.

Catch weight is not an issue in Pacquiao-Marquez III

The upcoming Pacquiao vs Marquez bout, Pacquiao said, will clear doubts raised during the controversial draw in their first match in 2004, and the tight 12-round fight he won via split decision in their second meet up in 2008. Marquez, meanwhile, said he feels very happy that Pacquiao accepted the challenge, yet his eyes are focused on clinching victory in the upcoming bout. He said to Pacquaio, "You fight with your heart. I like fighting with my heart and people watching two warriors on the ring." And though he said he fights with native country Mexico, he confessed that he loves the Filipinos. Arum defended the coming bout, stressing Pacquiao, who will stake his World Boxing Organization welterweight title, will not have a tremendous advantage in weight come fight night, as claimed by some quarters.

"Let me tell you something, let’s get real here, they have to make the weight at 144. When they go into the ring (on) the night of the fight, they’ll be within one pound of each other," Arum said.

"Juan Manuel will probably be 147, 148, Manny will be the same thing. That’s the definitive weight that matters. It’s not like Manny is a middleweight who will weigh 144 at the weigh-in and then go into the ring at 160."

"Today, sitting here, Manny is probably 148-149," Arum continued. "So Alex Ariza’s job during the training (period) will be to feed him (Pacquiao) enough food to maintain his weight. So the weight is not an issue. What’s an issue here is the increased skills of both fighters since they last fought, and who will have the advantage."

Mayweather vs Ortiz: Family affair

The sport of boxing has a rich history of the families who succeed boxing as a group, whether fathers and sons, brothers (and sometimes sisters), uncles and nephews, or all the above. Bloodlines run deep and this issue has "star power: Mayweather-Ortiz," the mega event from September 17 to be presented live on HBO Pay-Per-View. The boxing extravaganza is full of these "family of boxers," as five of the eight boxers who have become headlining the fact fight like a family affair in one way or another.

Foremost among them is the home Mayweather, Floyd "Money" Mayweather and center front. Floyd's uncle, Roger, is his coach, but Roger was also a great fighter of his era, winning world titles at 130 and 140 pounds in the 80, facing the likes of the legendary Julius Caesar "JC" Chavez, Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker and Kostya Tszyu. Floyd's father, Floyd Sr., was also at the corner of "Little Floyd" for several years and was a solid welterweight contender in the 70 and 80, especially against Sugar Ray Leonard in 1978. After Floyd's uncle, Jeff, who was less fortunate than his brothers, but faced a standout at the time in the name of Oscar de la Hoya in 1993 and has been transformed himself into a respected coach. Do you think this Mayweather vs Ortiz fight interesting? Then let's all find out I think we should all watch Mayweather vs Ortiz bout this September 17 to find out.

Will Ortiz wear down Floyd on their match

Mayweather vs Ortiz will face each other on September 17, 2011 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This is for the title belt of Victor Ortiz. Mayweather has had it relatively easy with wins over a smaller, slower Juan Manuel Marquez in 2009, and then a shot 38-year-old Shane Mosley last year in May. It’s going to be much different against Ortiz, as he’s on his way up to the top of the hill and isn’t on the downward slide the way that Mosley and Marquez were when they took on Mayweather.

Ortiz has got the power advantage in this fight, as well as an advantage in work rate. Ortiz showed in his last fight against Andre Berto that he’s capable of getting in close and throwing a lot of shots. Whether Ortiz can do the same to Mayweather is going to be the test here. Mayweather is hard to get near, because he tends to slide around and pick his opponents apart on the way in.

However, if Ortiz is able to establish some inside ground on Mayweather, we could see Ortiz really work Mayweather over with short powerful punches to the head and body. Even Mayweather’s excellent shoulder rolls have their limitations against a fighter that is unloading mass artillery shots the way that Ortiz was against Berto in his last fight. If you are all excited to Watch Mayweather vs Ortiz then stay tuned on this blog for more updates.

At the start of his training this month the controversial Floyd Mayweather Jr. began his intensive training face to face some of his sparring partners. His uncle-trainer, Roger Mayweather, proud to say that he beaten and bruised one his spartmate in the hands of Mayweather. His sparring partner was Kasiim Ouam a veteran, and a former champion 154 pounds. Floyd has been a professional for nearly 15 years and has been in bigger fights than the Ortiz duel. Roger confirmed that Floyd had been working with four other partners. I asked him if Lil’ Floyd has been putting a beating on them. Asked if the preparation for the dangerous southpaw has seen them do anything special, Roger played such thoughts down.
